Distant Horizons 1.19.2, 1.18.2, 1.17.1 and 1.16.5 is a mod that aims to extend the horizon of the world beyond the default rendering distance of the game. With this mod installed we will be able to see much further than by default.

This is interesting on powerful computers, as we will be able to see further. Although it is especially interesting in less powerful computers, because we can see at the same distance, but consuming less resources, or extend a little the rendering distance consuming the same resources.

As you know, Minecraft has a rendering distance that can be adjusted by players. Although we can adjust this distance, at the end of the day it depends on the graphic capabilities of our computer. So we will always be limited by hardware or by the game’s own limit.

With this mod installed we can go a little further, in terms of visualization of the world around us. The mod widens the rendering distance by simplifying the terrain that is loaded further away, so that fewer resources are needed to load horizon elements.
